Sustainability
In 2021 we invested in a state of the art waste management system to track our waste on each production run. This information is used to optimise processes and ensure we do not create excess waste. Details can be made available to customers upon request.
All of our in process waste, sprues, tops and tails are reground and fed back into the same machines in a closed loop system, which allows us to take advantage of every opportunity to stop needless plastic waste from entering the recycling stream.
Hybrid and all electric machines allow us to have fast cycle times and throughputs without the intense energy use of typical hydraulic machines. Providing sustainable material options is crucial for our customers to meet their environmental goals, we are always trialling new materials to stay ahead of the competition. Plastic and the environment
We monitor and manage our footprint and align with the position of the British Plastics Federation (BPF): ‘Plastic prevents food waste, protects products, is recyclable and only uses four per cent of the world’s oil production
It saves water, with its production consuming less than 4% of the water needed to make a paper bag.
The BPF aims to work proactively with employees, industry, stakeholders and legislators to contribute to the plastics sustainability agenda and to the Circular Economy.

We hold ISO 14001, an internationally recognised certification presented to organisations who make continual improvement in reducing their impact on the planet.
The ISO 14001 accreditation recognises holders who ensure they implement measures to minimise their environmental footprint, comply with relevant legal requirements and achieve their green objectives.
The framework for securing the standard encompasses resource usage and waste management through to monitoring environmental performance and involving stakeholders in environmental commitments.

We are signed up to the UK’s most trusted climate action platform, which funds high-impact, high-integrity climate solutions.
To offset our carbon footprint, we fund high-quality tree planting projects across the globe, with Measom Freer supporting tree planting now in countries as far away as Bolivia and Madagascar.
