How do I order?

Can I request samples?
Samples can be requested by email, phone, or by the contact us form.

Why can I not order online anymore?
Getting in touch with our team direct is the easiest way to order your goods and ensure that everything is processed correctly. By getting in touch with us we can make sure that you are getting the best prices for goods and shipping as possible.

Can I open a credit account with you?
You can apply for a credit account with us by filling in our credit account application form. Once this has been completed, please email your form to accounts@measomfreer.co.uk.

What are your credit terms?
If approved for a credit account, our terms are strictly 30 days.

Can I visit you?
If you would like to visit to discuss your primary packaging needs, please contact us so that we can arrange a meeting for you with one of our sales representatives.

What is injection moulding?
Injection moulding is when molten plastic is injected into a mould cavity. Once the plastic cools, it takes the shape of the mould, creating precise and complex parts. We use this process to produce measuring scoops, containers, and bottle closures. More information can be found on our injection moulding page.

What is extrusion blow moulding?
Blow moulding is when molten plastic is inflated into a mould cavity, it is then cooled and solidifies into the mould shape. We use this process to produce bottles, jerrycans, and complex parts like bellows. More information can be found on our blow moulding page.

How do I pay my pro-forma / invoice?
Payments can be made via bank transfer or by credit card over the phone.

Do you manufacture in the UK?
Yes, we have been manufacturing in the UK since we were established in 1937. For more information, please see our company history page.

What currency do you accept?
We only accept payment in Pound Sterling (GBP).

What are your VAT and EORI numbers?

What is your MOQ for stock products?
Stock products are sold by carton quantity, apart from our caps which can be customised to match the quantity of bottles purchased. Products larger than 1 litre in capacity are sold per pallet.

How long are quotations valid for?
Quotations are usually valid for 30 days, unless otherwise specified.

Do you have any jobs / vacancies at MF?

Do you have your own tool-room?
Our tool-room is on site and boasts staff with a wealth of experience in their field. They perform tool-making and tool-maintenance. You can find more information on our bespoke tooling page.

Do you sell glass / any other material packaging?
We solely manufacture and sell plastic products. Glass and ceramic products are not within our scope of manufacture.

Customisation

Can you make products in my brand colours / colour match for me?
Yes, if you send us a sample or an image of a colour, then we will be able to send this to our supplier to find the best match possible.

Can I send you my mould and you manufacture for me?
Yes, we do offer trade moulding services. Please get in touch here.

What are your custom colours / materials lead times?
Lead times can change depending on our production schedule availability, but usual lead times stand at approx. 2-4 weeks depending on quantities required and how unique your requirement is.

Sustainability / Environmental

How does PPT work?
Plastic Packaging Tax was introduced in April 2022 and charges companies on finished plastic packaging per tonne. You can find out more information on PPT on our legislation page.

Do you pay your PPT contributions to HMRC?
Every quarter we compile and analyse our production data and submit our plastic packaging tax contribution.

Products

How do I ensure that your packaging is suitable for my product?
We recommend that all products are tested for suitability with your application before purchasing. Samples are available upon request.

What materials do you manufacture in?
We manufacture in polythene, polypropylene, ocean preventative, bio-based, to name a few.

What are your tooling lead times?
New tooling lead times usually stand within 15-18 weeks. This includes finalisation of the design, tool-making and the first trial runs.

What is the difference between 410 and 415 necks?
410 – is one and a half thread turns
415 – is two thread turns
Ensure that the cap you purchase has the correct neck type to avoid incompatibility.

Do you offer dip-tube cutting services?
We are able to offer the dip-tube cutting service to customers that purchase their products from Measom Freer. We can offer this service for quantities from as little as a box.

What are the commodity codes / HS tariff codes for your products?

What is the difference between PIR and PCR?
Post Industrial Recycled
Post Consumer Recycled.

What do the different cap seals mean? Eg. skirt, plug, EPE lined, induction-heat
Skirtseal (boreseal) – the inner part of the closure seals to the inside of the bottle neck.
Plugseal – plugseal caps require a plug to create a secure seal on the bottle. These caps cannot be used in isolation.
Wadded – wadded caps have an inner plastic foam liner which seals to the top of the neck.

Can I find product specs on your website?
Products specs can be found as PDF’s on each product page underneath their images / details.

Delivery / Exports

Do you deliver / can I collect?
We use carriers for both loose and palletised shipments. If you would prefer to collect your goods, we will prepare them for your collection (including palletising and shrink wrapping them if applicable).

When can I collect my order?
Our warehouse is 8am-4:30pm Monday – Thursday, and 8am-2:30pm on Fridays.

Do you charge for carriage and how do you calculate the price?
Carriage costs are determined either by weight or postcode depending on if the order is being shipped loose or palletised. Carriage is quoted before you order so that you are aware of the charge.

What is your close-off time for despatching items?
If you order a stock item before 12pm, we are usually able to despatch that same day.

What are your delivery lead times for stock?
These lead times are for domestic shipments only
Loose cartons – 1-2 days
Pallets – 2-3 days.

Do you offer order tracking?
Order tracking can be provided if necessary, please just contact us so that we can pass these details to you.

Do you export worldwide?
Yes, we use different carriers depending on your location, but we often ship to the EU and occasionally further afield.

What incoterms do you use?
DAP – Delivered at Place
EW – Ex-Works.
