Bespoke / Custom Moulding
What is custom moulding?
Working to your specifications our custom moulding team will design and build a new tool, enabling us to manufacture your products.
Based at our factory in the heart of the UK, we can manufacture bespoke products for both injection moulding and extrusion-blow moulding such as flexible polythene bellows or graduated measures
Whether unsure of the best material for your product, or if you have questions about the practicality of your design we are happy to help.
Injection Moulding
Plastic injection moulding is the process of melting plastic pellets and injecting at high pressure into a mould cavity. Once filled and solidified products such as caps and measuring scoops are formed. A key benefit is the ability to produce large volumes of quality parts at a high rate of speed and accuracy.
Most recyclable thermoplastic materials (PP, HPDE, PS, etc) can be injection moulded, and we have the manufacturing capacity to produce a shot weight of 350g with a maximum clamp force of 150 tonnes. As a leading UK plastic packaging manufacturer, we put the customer first. Whether you’re looking for something completely bespoke or a customised mould, we can help.
Specialist UK plastic packaging manufacturer
Established in 1937 and now in our fourth generation as a family business, we have the industry knowledge and experience to ensure your bespoke tooling is a success.
In addition to manufacturing and stocking plastic bottles and containers, we also specialise in the design, development and manufacture of bespoke products.
Attention to detail is paramount to the service we offer while working towards solutions for the most demanding packaging challenges.
Blow Moulding
Plastic blow moulding is a manufacturing process for forming hollow plastic parts such as bottles or containers. This process involves inflating molten plastic into a hollow mould cavity.
If you are looking for a bespoke shaped bottle, extrusion blow moulding could be the answer. This process enables design details, such as brand identifiable features or handles to be included in the final product.
We utilise this process for capacities up to five litres, ideal for plastic bottles, containers and more specialised items such as plastic bellows. We can use most thermoplastics for blow moulding, including HDPE, rHDPE, BioHDPE, LDPE, PP, rPP, PETG, rPETG and PVC, with up to five litre capacity.
How we work
Our design department and in-house toolroom are equipped with the latest CAD/CAM facilities for component design, 3D visualisation, and modelling.
We manufacture prototypes of designs to evaluate before production, giving confidence in the product looking as expected and functioning as required. We continually invest in new technology, improving our equipment to ensure modern manufacturing processes are utilised to their full advantage.
Our in-house designers use Solidworks to prepare your packaging designs, enabling customers to view designs in 3D to envision each product, making the process smooth. We design and create high quality plastic bottles, containers and injection moulded parts to meet your brief. Throughout the process we guarantee strict confidentiality to protect your designs and brand.
