The company’s visit focused on three strategic priorities: increasing energy efficiency, maintaining outstanding quality, and advancing automation innovation. These areas reflect Measom Freer’s ongoing commitment to sustainable and efficient British manufacturing.
During their time in Dusseldorf, the team met with GDK Blow Moulding to discuss innovative extrusion blow moulding solutions. Conversations centred on upcoming EPR and RAM legislation challenges and the industry trend of customers converting to HDPE bottles.
The team also met with HASCO Hasenclever to explore further applications for the Streamrunner system, which the company has already invested in. The company was particularly interested in HASCO’s new 3D printed nozzle filters, designed to protect machinery whilst minimising pressure loss.

A highlight of the visit was seeing Arburg’s newly announced Trend machine in action. The updated controller and simplified automation interface are designed to facilitate tool changes and automation integration.

Measom Freer production manager Ben Freer said: “This year’s K Show provided valuable insights into the future of our industry. We’re excited to expand our material portfolio and develop our manufacturing processes to continue supporting our customers. The innovations we’ve seen, particularly in sustainability and automation, align perfectly with our commitment to efficient, high-quality British manufacturing.”
Measom Freer also visited Arburg’s arburgGREENworld pavilion, where the company demonstrated practical sustainability by processing post-consumer recycled material from old fishing lines on the new Trend machine.
